Do your kids wake up when their alarms ring?? This morning all three rang for over half an hour! I heard them before I got in the shower and when I came out of the bathroom, they were still ringing!! And it just didn't happen this morning, it happens everytime!

I need some suggestions. Help!! They are teenagers for pete sakes!!! Why does my nine year old wake up with a smile and a hug and the teenagers wake up monsterfied and deaf??

UGH.

I had my kids start putting them across the room from their beds so they wouldn't just turn over and go back to sleep. That won't help you though. I have no ideas. My only thought process is to maybe let them wake up on their own...if they miss the bus or don't have time to shower before school, let them deal with the consequences. Warn them this is going to happen and follow through.

Oh man, been there with teenagers..... My daughter is still bad about that. My son is much better now. They are both in college now, so they, must be getting up on their own.

I do remember one time when they were in middle school, that they suffered the consequences of not being ready on time. They rode to school with me but there were many mornings that I would be ready to leave and in the van waiting on them. I had warned them one day that if they weren't ready I would leave them. I did leave them. My husband said that they were so shocked and couldn't believe that I had actually left. They had to endure their his lecture on the way to school! Lol

I would love to say that they were never late again getting ready for school, but nope!
Now we laugh about it. Gotta love 'em.

Now this is something I am so very thankful for. My 3 teenage kids get up to their own alarms without fail or fuss. I have no idea how this happened so I have no suggestions. My ten year old is the problem. She is like pulling a log from the forest each morning!
